Kunstverein Markdorf

Dahlhausen’s recent large solo exhibition has opened at Kunstverein Markdorf (Bodenlake area). On three floors the artist shows extensively three work series: light works or light installation, bodies and filter works. His large scale light installation Stabilizing Light Markdorf is site specific and autonomous at the same time. His light works most often combine blue fluorescent light tubes, ordinary steel scaffolding tubes, known from building sites. In Ahlen Dahlhausen brings this into correspondence with his filter works and the high glossy car painted aluminium panels form his Bodies series, which reflect the light as well as space and the viewer.
